Vanessa Hudgens: Vanessa made her feature film debut in Catherine Hardwickes Thirteen (2003), starring Holly Hunter and Evan Rachel Wood. She also co-starred in the action-adventure film Thunderbirds. Most recently, Vanessa starred as Gabriella in the hit Disney Channel TV movie High School Musical and made an astounding debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with the soundtrack from the movie.

Vanessa Hudgens: Premiering in August 2007 on the Disney Channel, the creators dubbed it the most anticipated sequel of all time. Hudgens joined her co-stars and boyfriend Efron at a world premiere event at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA a few days before. Not surprisingly, a third High School Musical was announced in fact, a feature film this time but none of the stars had committed to return at the time of the sequels premiere date. Come August 2007, High School Musical 2 broke TV records as expected. A total 17.2 million viewers made it the highest rated basic cable broadcast of all time. The road to a third HSM movie hit a major bump however, when The National Enquirer reported they were going to print controversial nude photos of Hudgens.

Vanessa Hudgens: Buoyed by her massive High School Musical success, Vanessa decided the time was right to fulfill her lifelong dream of recording an album of her own, and consequently signed with Hollywood Records in 2006. Hoping to take advantage of the heat surrounding her, Vanessa worked day and night on the album for two months. On September 26, 2006, V was released to monstrous success. It premiered at No. 24 on the U.S. pop album charts and sold 34,000 copies. The album spawned a hit single, Come Back to Me, and Vanessa spent the latter part of 2006 touring in support of the disc (first as an opener for The Cheetah Girls, then as part of the High School Musical concert series). In addition to her relentless touring schedule, Vanessa found time to make a series of appearances on the popular Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
