Vanessa Hudgens: Starting at the age of eight, Hudgens performed in musical theater as a singer, and appeared in local productions of Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, The Music Man, and Cinderella, among others.[citation needed] Hudgens successfully auditioned for a commercial and subsequently moved to Los Angeles with her family, with whom she is still close.[citation needed] Though she is famous, she still has very close friends, namely Adrianne Galvez, Hannah Montanas Miley Cyrus, Zoey 101s Alexa Nikolas, High School Musicals Ashley Tisdale, and Zac Efron.[citation needed]

Vanessa Hudgens: By the time she was just 8 years old, Vanessa successfully petitioned her parents to allow her to try out for a whole host of local musicals (including The King and I, Cinderella and Evita). It quickly became evident that Vanessa had a real gift for both performing and singing, and she consequently decided (along with her parents, of course) to spend some time in London studying drama and music.

Hudgens launched on July 31, 2008 her first solo tour called Identified Summer Tour in order to promote her first two albums.
